Gala Tower – Tallest Residential and mixed-use building in Port-Au-Prince
A New Way: Port-Au-Prince Luxury High-Rise Creates Potential Growth Opportunities for the City, Jobs, Recreation, Entertainment & More …
Gala Tower will be the tallest residential and mixed–use building in Port-Au-Prince
(New York, NY) – January 11, 2016 — The sleek, modern and sophisticated Gala Tower expects to open its doors Spring 2016 with much anticipation and fanfare. The building showcases magnificent views of Port-Au-Prince from the roof-top piano bar that features: three outdoor patios, exquisite wines, teas and unique small plates for its guests. It will offer seven luxury hotel rooms, 14 two-bedroom luxury condos, plush penthouse duplex condos, as well as office and conference space. Residents will have the use of a luxury spa, gym, swimming pool and underground parking at their fingertips. Uniquely located in the prestigious community of Pétionville, the new development will add new flavor to the neighborhood restaurants and shops.
“Our goal was to assist in rebuilding Haiti with a development that would enhance the existing community,” says Garaudy Laguerre, President of Gamel – the parent company for Gala Tower— and a former UN Diplomat and Presidential candidate. “Haiti is rich in what it has to offer – Gala Tower is just one of its gems. As the country rebuilds, there are many opportunities and I just wanted to be in the forefront of those opportunities.”
The development has employed more than 1,000 people since it broke ground in December 2012. Gala Tower will be a mainstay for Port-Au-Prince as it is anti-seismic (earthquake proof) and hurricane proof. The developer says its structure is solid and can withstand anything. The building has sound proof windows and floors allowing its guests to enjoy tranquil surroundings. Furthermore, security won’t be an issue as the builders have put in place many measures to ensure safety.
“We’re glad to have Gala Tower join our sector,” says Richard Butau, Developer, Karibe Hotel. “We can’t wait for them to open their doors as it’s a very beautiful and modern building. Haiti is moving towards more modern construction and Mr. Laguerre is simply a pioneer in the construction sector when it comes to building condominiums. It’s a very ambitious project but one that our community needs!”
Gala Tower doesn’t sit alone in this quiet community as it is nestled among some of the city’s best restaurants such as: Papay, La Plantation, Mosaic, La Reserve, Press Café, The View and Magdoos. However, if you prefer to cook at home, than there are three major super markets; Giant, Caribbean and Extra, that boast vegetarian and other specialty foods. Guests simply can walk around the corner to visit distinctive shopping opportunities at Kay Artisan Village for local crafts, home goods and painting or Rivoli for jewelry and Ben Store for Men’s clothing. If daycare is required, then Oasis is a stone throw away. Additionally, the post office and pharmacy are just blocks away.
Gala Tower joins Best Western, Kinam, Karibe, Oasis, La Reserve and Montana in offering full-service amenities for visitors.
